search engine submission

Submitting to most search engines now has to be done manually. On certain search engines you will be asked to type in the appropriate code to authenticate your website.This is mainly due to people submitting their website address too many times (more commonly known as spamming).

Once you have submitted your URL, you may have to wait a while for your website to show in Search Engine results, it can take between 4 to 6 weeks for a search engine to index a new site.

Some search engines charge for inclusion and we have highlighted those that do (* denotes paid inclusion). However, the majority do not, so work your way through our list and submit your site.

We recommend that you submit your website to these search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN. It is also worth considering submitting to the Open Directory Project (ODP).
